The breakfast buffet was very good, with quality hot options that changed each day, including sausages, bacon, cooked salmon, mackerel and sweet cheese pancakes. You could ask for fresh scrambled or fried eggs; the kitchen couldn't make poached eggs when I asked. The coffee machine was good, service was friendly, and plates were cleared quickly. Three supermarkets are 2 to 5 minutes away: Biedronka is opposite, followed by Lidl and the furthest one, Carrefour Express. There's also a petrol station opposite. The walk to the old town takes about 40 minutes, via the back steps behind Biedronka. Bus stops are right outside, though we didn't use the bus. We paid 435 PLN per night. Gdansk is much more expensive than Warsaw, and we paid less for a 4 star hotel in Germany. We needed a car, so staying in the center wasn't an option. The car park is set back from the road and always had a space. Our room on the second floor was among the smallest, just 14 square metres, with no space to leave a suitcase. It reminded me of some rooms in Japan. There are no lifts and the stairs are steep. Ground floor rooms beside reception may be noisy. The soundproofing isn't good, so you hear neighbors talking, the TV and doors closing. One of our four nights, guests were loud in their room and on the balcony until 3 a.m., though at least they followed the no-smoking rule inside. We usually turn on the air conditioning to cover noise, and it cooled the small room well. The remote had been changed, though, and wouldn't switch off the bright temperature display. We covered it with paper and tape, but still needed an eye mask. The air conditioner also worked as an ioniser and had bright blue lights inside. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was clean, had good pressure and drainage, and never ran out of hot water. The radiator bars on the towel rail were dusty. There was a kettle but no fridge, despite one being advertised. It's expensive for the room size and location, but compared with prices in central Gdansk, it's a reasonable choice if you have a car.

The room was tidy and well looked after, and breakfast was decent. We spent just one night here and everything was perfect. There's parking, and it's really close to the center by car. Highly recommend.

The area is a little far from the city, so you may have to take a bus. I also found the floor squeaked every time I walked across it, which got annoying, and the sound insulation wasn't great. I could hear people walking and talking in the hallway. Still, the room was clean, modern, air conditioned and felt fresh, with a balcony where you could sit and relax. Wi-Fi worked pretty well, and the beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. At least my bed was farther from the street, so outside noise didn't bother me.

Alex at the desk was a wonderful host, clever and well informed, and sorted everything out for us. The hotel is spotless, with room options to suit different tastes. Breakfast was very good, and the cook was kind and tidy. I was very satisfied.
