I stayed four nights and was glad there was a night desk open 24 hours. A family pool venue at a fine price, with a six-bed room and full shared kitchen for 30 USD. Happy New Year 2025, and thanks for having me.

I arrived to find the hostel hadn't prepared for my stay. The receptionist in the main building sent me to a room without a proper check-in, and I didn't see any hostel staff or other guests during the whole visit. The room had no Wi-Fi and no curtain on the main window, so it was freezing at night. The bathroom bin was full of old food and smelled bad, which made it seem the room hadn't been cleaned. The spa facilities stayed closed the entire time, but I was charged anyway. With no other guests around, the place felt ghostly. It's off a highway if you're trying to get to the old town. There was a lack of service, support, staff presence, basic amenities, and cleanliness.
The location and the pool and sauna are great, so without any problems this could be a great place to stay. But I couldn't get help when something went wrong. I emailed and messaged through booking.com two weeks before my reservation and got no reply. During the stay, my locker didn't work, and nobody answered when I called. The security staff are employed by the building, not the hostel, so they couldn't assist. I had nowhere to lock up my belongings.
The rooms were fairly clean, but I wouldn't call the spa a spa. The showers weren't working at all, and people were washing themselves in the pool. The water was feculent, and I hope I didn't pick up parasites there. It was crowded too. Parking was another problem: the spaces below the hotel were full, so you have to figure it out yourself. I wouldn't leave my Lamborghini out in that slopy parking lot. Why advertise a spa when it's this kind of junkyard?
I left with a deeply unsettling experience and wouldn't stay again. After arriving exhausted from a long trip and falling asleep, I was repeatedly woken by a man on the other side of my closed bed curtain, accusing me of snoring as he physically attacked me. I don't snore, and I was awake and aware of that during the later incidents. Another guest across the room had been snoring loudly when I arrived. The man kept leaving and coming back, and stopped only after gripping my leg muscles hard enough to leave me with a lingering creepy feeling. In the dark behind the curtain, I couldn't see him clearly. I was dazed and confused about whether to kick out. I suspect he may have woken me by mistake while trying something worse, then used the snoring excuse to avoid suspicion, but I can't know that for sure. Security was no help at all. They acted as if nothing had happened and only explained how to find my bed as though I were five, apparently because that was all they could understand in English. After I changed rooms, I found my phone had been stolen and compromised by a South American.
