World Hostel

I've stayed here twice, at different times, and got the same service both visits. The staff are polite and happy to help, and the hostel is cheap and close to all the tourist spots in Gdansk. I stayed in a four-person room; the beds were clean and comfortable, and they gave me a clean towel for personal use. I didn't get to try breakfast because I was trying to fit in a lot of things early. This was my best hostel experience, so everyone should give it a chance.

Good value, with a comfortable bed and its own plug. Each room has one shower and WC, and there's a self-service breakfast. The kitchen is equipped. It's very central, with eateries and grocery shops within 800 meters, and the train station and bus terminal are 800 metres away, along with a cheap bus to the airport.

The beds were comfortable, the place was quite clean, and the neighborhood was quiet. For the tourist part of Gdansk, the location is amazing: close to the old town, pleasant walking areas, grocery stores, and the train station. I only stayed one of the three nights I'd booked because I was offered free accommodation elsewhere. My main issue was with the key cards and locks. The dorm door didn't actually lock, which I only realized when my roommate pointed it out. The cards also play an awful chime whenever used, so opening the room or lockers quietly late at night or early in the morning was difficult. I might stay again if I needed to.

The hostel is reasonably priced, and you can park for free on the street right in front, which is a big plus. The location is very good, near the old town. Rooms are quite small, and the stay was decent, though nothing special.
