I enjoyed my two-night stay, but I wouldn’t choose this place for a week. It’s a charming, slightly obscure place, and you can tell someone had an idea behind it. The shower temperature can be hard to set. If you’ve been swimming in the Baltic Sea when the water is below 15C, though, the almost burning shower might feel like an attraction 🙂 There’s no bathroom ventilation at all, so after showering you have to wipe the mirror to see anything, or come back another day 🙂

The hotel is small, well designed, and perfectly located. Breakfast was very good, the staff were helpful, and it’s good value for money. It’s also pet and family friendly. With some maintenance, especially to the bathroom equipment, it could be five out of five.

The bar is stylish and intimate, and the bartender is creative and knowledgeable. The drinks are unique. I stayed at Willa Wincent for two nights, and the customer service was especially disappointing. I reported a bathroom problem to the receptionist, who seemed unbothered and didn’t offer much help, leaving standing water in the bathroom for our second night. There was no shower curtain and the drain was poor, so water spread across the floor and took all night to dry. Afterward, it smelled unpleasant and the floor was moldy, which felt extremely unsanitary. The hotel needs work to live up to its price and potential. The design is modern and picture perfect, but the room wasn’t practical, with little space to unpack or put luggage. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything in the hallway, so it’s not a good fit if you want quiet at night. It’s a quick walk to the beach and nearby forests, though.

I got a great room, number 104, with a nice outdoor view. It’s only a 10-minute walk to the beautiful Baltic Sea park area. Breakfast was excellent, and coffee was available 24 hours. The bed was four stars, but the room was super clean and the bathroom had nice touches. The price was fabulous for all of that.
