Fantastic!!!

WOOOW, I really didn’t expect this place to be so good. I needed somewhere inexpensive at the last minute, found it, and booked right away. The surroundings are beautiful, and waking up to that view was wonderful. It’s intimate accommodation with a small but adequate room. The bathroom is in the room, while the toilet is separate in the hallway. There’s lots of shared space downstairs: a living room with a fireplace and TV, a children’s playroom, a dining room with three tables, plus pool and foosball. The views from the windows are beautiful. Upstairs there’s also a kitchen and dining room. What surprised us most was the creative, beautiful souvenir rooms for sale on the top floor. Outside, we found a stone barbecue, trampolines and other toys for children, and places to relax while looking out at the mountains and grazing cows. The place has clearly seen better, better-funded days, but for the price it would be hard to find something better, or even similar. The only real downside was Wi-Fi: it’s offered, but practically nonexistent. I’ll definitely recommend it and come back.

Tatra Panorama sits in a peaceful part of Podhale, with one of the most beautiful panoramas of the Tatra Mountains. The highlander house has a distinctive atmosphere and is open to tourists looking for a quiet holiday. It’s three storeys, with a ground floor set aside for guests, and there’s a large green space behind it with seating areas. The house is a good starting point for trips in several directions, including the High Tatras, the Slovak Tatras, and the Pieniny Mountains. There’s also a lovely, modest highlander church nearby. Parking is available on site, though it may be a bit limited when the place is full. The rooms are a very good standard, with ensuite bathrooms and showers; there are also toilets in the hallways. Guests can use the shared lounges, dining area, and fireplace downstairs. It was quiet at night, with no disturbances or noisy animals. Some people might find that absence of noise unsettling. I highly recommend it. A fairy tale!

The best part for me was the beautiful view, and it was quiet, peaceful, and not crowded, so it was easy to relax. But I’d rate the place around 4.0, not the 4.7 it has on Google. My impression is somewhere between a 3+ and a 4. The whole property was generally clean, with some exceptions. A lot of things are old and not always working, and it doesn’t seem the owner has invested much in recent years. The grill is worn out and should be replaced. There’s no proper grilling area, gazebo, or anything similar around the benches and table. In the garden, there’s a little house with a swing and slide, but it’s only suitable for kids up to six. Inside, downstairs, there’s a billiards table and a room with toys and board games. The toys are old, and some are broken, though they can still keep you occupied. The large coffee and tea water heaters in the billiards room didn’t work when my wife went to make coffee, and they had no water in them. There was coffee, tea, and cups, so why have heaters that are only there for decoration? The standards and customer service reminded me of the communist era. The owner didn’t communicate much and didn’t seem to like smiling. We saw and spoke to her only twice, when she handed over the keys and when she took our money. She asked as soon as she saw us whether we were with Booking or booked directly, which seemed obvious. I wonder if Booking guests get a different approach. I hope this helps. Best regards.
