Apartament OLD TOWN

We were left scrambling to find another place to stay at the last minute after our reservation was canceled for overbooking. Check-in was meant to be at 3:00 PM, and we were supposed to get the key box code beforehand, but no message or instructions arrived. We tried to reach the property without success. Only after Booking.com stepped in did we find out the booking had been canceled. No communication, no information, and then a last-minute cancellation. Completely unacceptable. The organization was very poor and customer service was lacking. I don't recommend it.

We couldn't reach the owner at all, and there was no contact number or communication. After booking through Booking.com, we found the apartment wasn't available, so the reservation was a scam. We ended up taking the last room at a hotel because everything was sold out during a major concert in Gliwice that day. A word of caution, steer clear. From the comments, it seems other guests have been duped the same way.

The staircase had a crime movie feel, and the smell wasn't one I'd want to remember. The street side lock is broken too, so a gentle push opens the door, much too welcoming for my taste. Inside, Raciborska Old Town is clean, modern, and elegant enough to look like an interior design catalog. The kitchen looks commercial, but there's no drying rack or dish soap, so it's barely usable. In the bathroom, the shower gel and shampoo are so diluted they seem to have met more water than I have all week. They don't really clean, but I always bring my own cosmetics, so you learn to manage. The place itself is lovely, and the potential is huge. The execution is very good, but a few little things need improvement, like a missing pieces game the owner is playing.
