The room was unbearably hot, and with the window open every passing car seemed to go right by the bed. We were handed three fans, but sleeping was still a nightmare. We were exhausted, and although we had paid through July 28, we eventually gave up and went home early. We couldn't afford to book somewhere else on top of the nearly 1,300 we had already spent, so we were stuck with it. We had booked a place at Górnych Wałów 27 for our July 24-28 trip to Gliwice because air conditioning was our top priority. The Booking.com reviews made it look like a nice apartment with AC, where we could sleep properly in the summer weather. I also had a Ninja Warrior recording session and wanted to rest in an air-conditioned room. We arrived around 1 a.m. between Thursday, July 24 and Friday, July 25, and found a different apartment from the one pictured, with no air conditioning. The landlord said she'd switched us, without asking, to a supposedly larger place with a full kitchen so we could cook for the children. By then it was nearly the middle of the night, the morning recording was over, and the kids and my fiancée were tired too. The staff apologized and seemed to know how hot it was. I don't know how the good reviews got there, or whether Booking.com removes bad ones, but be careful, this can really affect you. Booking.com gave us 314.69 PLN compensation, but it wasn't refunded to our account; it could only be used for accommodation through the app. They also approved only the last part of my review, not the full text. I really don't recommend this place. I've attached a few photos.
