Hostel Zacisze 2

We were left sleeping in the car after failing to get in. Our check-in was meant to be at 9:38 p.m.; we arrived cold and tired after spending 15 minutes searching for the entrance. The streets were very dark, and finding our way with a woman was difficult. We finally found a quiet spot, though it didn't seem secluded at all. No one answered the door until 10 p.m., and the hotel was closed at 4 a.m. We were escorted out by family and witnesses. The service, or lack of it, was shocking. I'd recommend the place to anyone looking for solace after a long drive.

The Wi-Fi worked well, but this isn't an internet café, and there was little else to recommend the place. The bathroom had bugs, the mattresses had blood on them, and the bunk beds looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in months, despite the claim that the cleaner comes before each guest. The TV had no remote, and once I got it on there was no signal. The invoice that was meant to be delivered never arrived. For the room and its condition, 50 PLN would have been the most I'd pay, not the 140 PLN per night we paid. We were only there for three days, thankfully. I travel all over Poland and have experience with hotels and accommodation, and this room was far too expensive for what it offered. The attached pictures show the view we got. The owner's son let us in and was very polite. The owner and his son reacted right away when they saw the situation; the owner said nothing, while his son offered us another room that was only slightly better. Before the stay, I called the owner about the price and said we'd arrive around 12 p.m. He said check-in began at 3 p.m. and that we couldn't arrive sooner because the cleaners were working, so we understood and came at the agreed time. The owner turned out to be very unpleasant and unreliable. It's a complete mess. I don't recommend it.

I had a very happy five-day stay here. The hostel has everything well equipped inside, and the owners are friendly and helpful. Shops nearby stay open late, too. It's a pleasant, affordable place to stay in Głubczyce, and I'd recommend it.

Smoke smells awful throughout, the shower drain is still clogged, and there were bedbugs in the rooms, along with a bunch of other small problems. Worst hostel I've ever stayed in.
