Hotel Dworek Wapionka

The restaurant made this stay especially frustrating. Even though it was only about a quarter full, our soup took 45 minutes and the main courses took an hour and a half. The food wasn’t very good and arrived half cold, and the service was rude. We also couldn’t get a proper night’s sleep because a family was put in the room above us and the kids ran around all night. Nobody did anything about it. The rooms themselves were clean, but the walls are so thin you hear every little noise. There was only soap, no shampoo or conditioner, and the kitchen had no pots or pans, so you have to ask for everything. Cobwebs were all over the place. The lake looked green, you couldn’t see your hand even an inch underwater, and it smelled like sewage. I won’t be back.

The locals were so friendly. One of them stopped to talk with us and remembered when the mill was still operating 50 years ago, and even knew the miller. There’s a restaurant beside the hotel where you can see the mill wheel still turning. The hotel itself is in a beautiful, peaceful spot right by Wapionka lake, a lovely place to get away from the city. A wooden footbridge crosses the lake to a spot where you can have a campfire, with permission from management.

I loved the sunset view here, and there’s a spa too. The rooms are cozy, the restaurant is nice, and the food is delicious. The staff are kind and polite. It’s the best place I’ve ever been, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature, lovely views, long walks, and good food.

Really the best place to stay and eat. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and our very large studio had a separate bedroom, a clean, nice wood-style interior. The one downside is the hot water comes from a boiler, so in winter there isn’t enough for all the guests at once. Wait an hour and it’s hot again. For two people in winter, we paid 190-220 plz, including breakfast and parking. Thanks!
