I’d ask for a room upstairs, since the downstairs one doesn’t feel as private as the shared terrace. Otherwise, it’s a very quiet place, and the lake view is fantastic for the price and standard. The staff are helpful and attentive, parking is on site, and you can rent kayaks. The air conditioning works really well. Coffee is available in the shared lounge, which also has a shared kitchen, plus there’s a gas grill and loungers. It’s close to the beach and restaurants.

The only fond memory I have of the place is the apple pie made by the woman who looked after the property. I stayed at Sunny Headland in May 2024 after booking through Booking.com. The listing never said we’d be sharing the cottage with strangers. We had one room with thin doors and a bathroom for our own use, but the kitchen, living room, and terrace were shared with people attending a team-building event. That was a terrible setup for anyone hoping to relax. Had we known “Sunny Headland” was arranged this way, we wouldn’t have booked.

We stayed in house no. 23, and it was simply amazing. The apartment deserves a medal, with a huge terrace leading straight to the water. We highly recommend it, from all 12 of us in the team from Bieszczady 😁

We had a very enjoyable stay, and the price is competitive with places nearby. Mrs. Ela made delicious homemade cakes, and coffee, tea, and other amenities were readily available. The double room was spacious, air-conditioned, and had a comfortable bathroom and quality amenities. Guests can use the shared kitchen and living room, as well as the terrace with loungers, garden furniture, and a gas grill. Being able to reach the lake directly from the terrace is a real plus. The main drawback was the poor soundproofing, especially around the high-set entrance door, which let hallway and common-area sounds into the room. During our stay, a group downstairs were inconsiderate, and their party noise went on until 2:00 a.m. I still highly recommend visiting Grodek.
