Hotel Rudnik

The beachside restaurant and bar has a great atmosphere, with a roof for rainy summer days, good pizza, and pleasant servers. But the wait was 45 minutes, and most people there seemed to be waiting just as long. Try the local beers PIWO GRUDZIADZKI and PIWO RUDNICKIE, which come in several varieties and cost just 15 zlotys for 0.5 L on tap. Tasty! GRANITA, a 0.3 L children's drink, or 0.5 L of soda costs 14 zlotys at the beach. Wow!

We only stayed one night out of season, so I can’t say what it’s like during the season. The hotel has a decent location, with a private beach close to the lake. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty, and I thought it was a nice approach to include both as standard in the room price for every guest. There’s a small pool with a jacuzzi and both wet and dry saunas to relax in after a long day.

The waiter really made the visit for me. He was friendly, professional, and polite, easily the best service I've had in Grudziądz. The fish risotto is worth ordering, too: the food was tasty and the portions were generous. The peach cheesecake looked lovely but was a little dry, while the coffee was great. I hadn't expected much, so the beautiful, clean interior and lake view were a very pleasant surprise. I'd definitely recommend the place.

Being right by the lake and forest makes it easy to step out for a walk. The hotel is still being renovated, though, and there was an unpleasant smell. Breakfast was pretty mediocre. It's a nice setting for relaxing and getting some exercise.
