Kurhotel Victoria SPA

Nice place.

The breakfast buffet was genuinely good, with different things each day alongside the usual dishes. A friendly receptionist kept letting us know when something had run out. The receptionist was pleasant too, though the man there wasn’t as nice. When I called on arrival day, it took six tries to get through. Our room and bathroom were very small, and the room felt stuffy because it wasn’t airtight. The bathroom smelled unpleasant. We left our bags, opened the window, and went out to get away from the smell. There wasn’t a broom, so after our first trip back from the beach, all the sand made the stay feel pretty unpleasant. Parking on site cost an extra 20 PLN per night. The photos and description made the guesthouse seem closer to the beach and town center than it felt to us. It’s definitely farther away. For the same price, I think you could find a place closer to the beach with a better standard.

The location worked really well for us, near the sea and bus stops for Kołobrzeg. The rooms were tidy and clean, and the staff were consistently helpful. Breakfast started with a smile, and the home-cooked food was so good even my picky son liked it. There’s also a small pool, jacuzzi, and sauna on site. I don’t get the negative reviews. If you want luxury, book a five-star hotel.

We definitely won’t come back. Other guests were unhappy too, mentioning spiders in rooms, poor treatments, and no elevator. The dessert was a disgrace for a hotel: waffles with disgusting cream one day, watermelon another. The owner’s daughter at reception even stopped saying hello in a fit of outrage, which was in a class of its own. Maybe the business was once three-star, but now it’s armless. There was a smell in our room and staff didn’t react, saying, “we won’t do anything about it.” Breakfast and lunch buffets were the same every day. The lunches were good, at least. For this price, you can find much better options around Grzybowo and Kołobrzeg.
