Apartment Foka Hel

Apartment 31 was a complete disaster. The water from the tap literally stinks, the radiators barely get lukewarm, and the balcony doors don't shut properly. The TV remote and hood don't work, the dishwasher doesn't clean, and the bed creaks and squeaks. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it. The women in the apartment office probably wouldn't be suited to working in the UK! On the plus side, there's parking, a large balcony, an elevator, and a good location.

We've stayed at Foka again, and it's still comfortable, clean, and cozy. There are good fish places nearby, as well as everything you need to cook for yourself.

The place was dirty and run-down, and it looked nothing like the pictures on Booking.com. I wouldn't call it an apartment, and the price certainly didn't match the quality. It hadn't been cleaned properly for our arrival: the TV and mirrors had just had dirt smeared around, leaving awful streaks. In the bathroom, the shower door was broken and the window cracked. We also had to ask for toilet paper, and there wasn't even a salt shaker in the kitchen. Getting an invoice was a mess too. Nobody replied to emails or messages through Booking. We couldn't call this a successful stay and wouldn't recommend it. You can find much better apartments in this location for the same price.

The sea, or lagoon, views are beautiful, and in good weather you can see the Tricity area. It's also near a small beach on the boulevard and plenty of bars and restaurants. The room can sleep up to five and is quite clean, with a good range of equipment: a washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, induction cooktop, TV, hairdryer, iron, dishes, and cutlery. A dish drainer and a shower shelf for toiletries were missing, though that's a minor detail. Keys come from a key machine. The building has an elevator and a playground that could use an update. Parking is free, but there should be a space assigned to each room.
