Willa Elysium

I have such fond memories of a summer holiday here with my parents, when I was four or five and the building was still a sanatorium. I remember walking in beneath the balconies and trying to recall whether our room was straight ahead from the stairs or a little to the left on the second floor. It was a four-person room, but there were only three of us, so one bed was taken away. Outside the entrance, where there’s now a small parking lot, I remember an oval fountain. I think the dining room was at the back, with what may now be a hotel nearby. Behind the sanatorium, we children played in what seemed like a huge clearing while our parents made evening bonfires and got to know each other. It was getting dark, but we were still up. If I remember right, there was a huge boulder at the upper left of the clearing, with someone’s tent beside it and a stream a little farther up. I think there was a pond if you went farther along, though I may be wrong. I’m piecing this together from memory and Google Maps. It was a wonderful time.
