Dom Wrzosówka

We had a large room with comfortable beds, and the owner was approachable and helpful. It’s a relaxed, almost homey place, close to a Karkonosze Mountains trail and surrounded by beautiful views, so it makes a good starting point for hikes. The bathroom was in the hallway, which was the main downside for us as a couple with a child. The place could use an update, a thorough clean and a few small repairs. Still, Dom Wrzosówka has what you need for a weekend away at this price.

We stayed for two weeks and had a great holiday. Our four-person room had its own bathroom and a covered terrace, which suited us perfectly, and both the price and conditions were good. The owner was easy to communicate with and helpful. It also worked well as a base for hikes and other outings. There’s a bus stop nearby and direct access to the train station, which is handy if you want to save on fuel.

The room was roomy, the location was good and it was quiet. The stream nearby could bother some people, but I didn’t mind it. The price was reasonable, though the mattresses were worn and sagged in the middle. The bathroom was new but dusty, and the kitchen kettle didn’t work.

The rooms themselves were in decent shape, but the place needs someone in management to show more interest and put in some effort. The owner wouldn’t answer calls or texts, and we had to hunt for our keys in different hiding spots, like an escape room. We also found mice in a kitchen cupboard and potatoes that had sprouted roots. The knob on our room door was held on by one nail and fell off after a few tries. While we were out, someone came into the room without telling us and tried a makeshift repair that didn’t work. The owner did manage to text us to ask for parking payment, though. Guests deserve more attention and respect.
