Hotel Caspar

I had dinner at the restaurant four times. The food was very good and reasonably priced, and the interior is quite sophisticated. Service was hit and miss.

I’ve stayed here twice, four nights in total, and found the rooms modern, nice and clean. The restaurant food is top quality. I recommend the Tatar and Wild Hog Ribs. The staff are friendly and professional. Keep up the good job!

The restaurant was pretty good. While I was there it had a Moroccan theme, along with some decent Polish dishes. Service was okay, if not especially friendly. The hotel itself was another story. I had to change rooms three times because the first two had no Wi-Fi signal. In the third room, it got really cold at night: outside was -3 and inside around 0 degrees. At 1:00am I went to the front desk because the heating wasn’t working. The older woman there didn’t speak English or German, so it took about 20 minutes for her to understand. She fetched an old, powerful electric heater from the maintenance room, and it dried out my nose and eyes badly. The heating was on by morning. When I asked, I was told they turn it on the day before a guest arrives, but because I’d switched rooms they hadn’t had time to turn it on. The same thing happened the next night and the night after. The room itself wasn’t bad apart from the big, uncomfortable pillows. There isn’t much to do nearby, since the hotel isn’t central.

The hotel is comfortable, and from outside it looks like a small castle. The rooms are ordinary but let you relax at night. Breakfast was good, though sweets aren’t the main course, of course. Dinner is nice too. I know I’ll be back.
