The rooms were warm even in winter, and clean too. Breakfast was delicious, with so much food we couldn’t manage it all. The owners were friendly and helpful as well. For hiking, the blue and green trails start right nearby, and you can take a particularly scenic route to Chojnik. Other options head high into the mountains towards Śnieżne Kotły or Czarny Kotło Jagniątkowski. If you’d rather explore towns, Jelenia Góra, Szklarska Poręba and Karpacz are all within about a 30-minute drive. It’s a lovely place and a handy base for seeing the Karkonosze Mountains. Highly recommend!

There’s only a little parking, but we managed. The WiFi was frustrating, though. It’s Sagem, the cheapest option, and kept freezing. The owners were friendly and ready to help when needed. Rooms are bright and tidy, with their own shower and toilet, and there’s a newly renovated kitchen with all the essentials. Downstairs by the property entrance, there’s another kitchen with a grill and a magnificent stove. The cottage is well placed for nearby castles, historic sites and Karkonosze National Park. There’s plenty to see close by, and I’d recommend it for castle visits or winter skiing in Szklarska Poręba.

The views were the first thing that struck me during my weekend in this Karkonosze cottage. My room was spacious, clean and really nice, and the owner was so kind and attentive to guests’ comfort. I’d happily recommend the place and will definitely come back.

The rooms are kept clean and in good shape, but not having a TV in them is disappointing. The property entrance doesn’t look very welcoming, and the grounds are poorly maintained. There’s also a large dog belonging to the owners roaming the ground floor, which makes going out, even just for a cigarette, less comfortable.
