The food was okay, with better breakfasts than dinners, which leaned heavily on potatoes and could be bland. For the same sort of money, there are better places to eat. The kitchen staff were kind, and the location is handy for the trail, but that was about all I enjoyed. The man who greeted us wasn't very welcoming, and his jokes didn't land with us. The rooms feel overdue for an update. The showers are cramped and hard to use, and their layout means they don't open all the way. Cold air came through the windows, and the radiators couldn't keep up when the temperature dropped, so we were freezing. Finding hair on the sheets was unpleasant too.

My opinion is honest, even if good reviews make it harder for people to find an available room. I keep coming back, and each stay gives me what I'm after. It suits anyone looking for something special for a short break. This has been my second visit, or maybe more than a few by now, and I always return gladly.

The rooms were spotless, and there’s a kettle and fridge in the hallway. When the trails are done, the fireplace room has ping-pong and foosball for the evening. Internet is available, though you may need to find it outside or in the common room. The resort is quiet and makes a good base for outings, unless you happen to be there with a lively group and trainer. The owners were so welcoming that they left early rather than spoil our goodbye. The food deserves a mention too: homemade, warm, generous portions, and made with care. They were flexible enough to cook for just four guests. It tasted great, even with the nearest shop 2 km away. There are some local wild encounters as well, including a ginger cat with quite a personality and nighttime mountain wildlife. The blue trail starts right by the resort, and the Karkonosze National Park entrance is next door. Bring a ticket, since the rangers aren't as friendly as Mr. Bernard and Mrs. Marta. We met Mr. Bernard, a memorable guide whose main advice is “Keep going straight.” Now and then that straight route ends at a pretty stream in the forest, which can leave you wondering about life. Maybe that’s part of the mountain experience.

A quiet, spotless place near the mountain trails, and a great spot to unwind. Breakfast comes in a good variety.
