The rooms were clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a kitchen if you’d rather make your own meals, and pets are welcome. It’s a quiet spot, far enough from the main road to avoid the noise, but still close to everything. The city centre is about a 15-minute walk, and Western City is roughly 30 minutes away on foot through the forest. There’s also a toy museum, some beautiful fountains and supermarkets nearby. This isn’t a five-star spa, but it works well if you need somewhere to stay overnight and take a bath. We’ll definitely come back. I recommend it for families travelling with children.

The terrace barely deserves a mention, and the communal kitchen was filthy and awful. The smell alone made me feel sick, and it ended our trip to Karpacz. We stayed one night and fled, even though we’d booked two, so we paid 150 złoty per person for that single night. We paid less in Prague. 😀😀😀 I’d sooner sleep in my car than return, and I wouldn’t recommend this guesthouse to anyone. Pay a little more for somewhere you’ll be glad to come back to. We came to Karpacz for a few days and walked into the Graf guesthouse, where the condition of the old building shocked me. The floors leaked, the carpet smelled, and the bathroom was disgusting, with rusty taps, shower heads and towel racks. Nobody expects luxury, but at 75 złoty per person I expected modest accommodation that was at least clean. We slept under our own sheets because I couldn’t bring myself to use the ones in the room.

I left with a headache and won’t go back. The owner was rude, and he put us in a room where the radiators had just been painted with oil paint. The smell was unbearable. The building itself was old and run-down, dusty, with decor that took me back to the communist era. I was there a few years ago, but I still haven’t forgotten that stay.

The views of the mountains are beautiful, and the neighborhood is quiet. Rooms are tidy and clean, with private bathrooms. The hosts are very friendly and can suggest things to see nearby. There’s a shared kitchen and dining room, so you can make coffee and have breakfast before heading out to explore.
