The room had a kitchenette without a sink, and instead of a proper table there was only a small coffee table. The owner was rude and out of touch, and I couldn't reach any agreement by phone before arriving. There are three rooms and three parking spaces, but the owner's friends or relatives use the parking, so I had to move my car twice, even though Booking.com lists parking as reserved for guests. Smoking and pets are prohibited, yet the place smelled strongly of pesticides, mostly but not only mothballs. I also found the owner's dog's feces under the door. Someone came into my room several times while I was away without telling me why. The first time, they brought blankets, but I don't know the reason for the other visits. Booking.com removed my review less than 24 hours after it was posted, after one report, saying it might expose guests' and other data subjects' privacy to increased risk, even though I hadn't named anyone. Now I understand why the rating is so good. I really don't recommend this place. It was a waste of money and caused a lot of stress.

Słoneczko turned out to be a lovely refuge for us on cold but sunny days, and we had a very pleasant few days there. Our room was spacious and comfortable, warm to come back to, and on the first floor, with a beautiful sunrise and a wonderful view of Śnieżka. The large bathroom had soft towels, a hairdryer, and even bandages and hygiene products. After I scraped my heel, I found plasters in a drawer and disinfectants in the first aid kit. Everything was spotless. There was a separate room with a kitchenette, wine glasses, and a fridge and microwave just for us. The house itself was beautiful, set on a hill with a view of Śnieżka from the window. My wife climbed it, while I could watch people from the room. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, so I was able to work and keep an eye on her exploring the Karkonosze Mountains. We chose Słoneczko in Karpacz on a whim, simply because we wanted to be near hiking trails. It was less than 10 minutes to the Wang Temple and the entrance to Karkonosze National Park. From the Karkonosze Pass, we enjoyed a wonderful trail through peat bogs, with fantastic views and close encounters with Karkonosze wildlife during rutting season. The "WANG" bus stop was nearby, making it easy to travel to and from the city center by public transport. The hostess was kind, caring, helpful, warm, talkative, and knowledgeable, including about trails that were closed in the mountains. Słoneczko met all our expectations. We recommend it to anyone who enjoys peace and direct contact with slow culture, and we'll definitely return. It was perfect for two.

This is a peaceful place for anyone wanting to get away from the city. The hosts made our stay comfortable and gave us privacy without hovering. Parking is included in the price. The building is a charming one from the 1930s, set high above the road, with views of the main Karkonosze ridge, including Śnieżka and Kowarski Grzbiet. It's in Upper Karpacz, along the road towards the city center and in the other direction towards Borowice Sosnówka and Podgórzyn. The rooms have traditional furnishings, roomy kitchenettes, and large bathrooms. Wang Church and the main hiking trails are close. The city center is quite a distance away, but nearby bus stops have frequent services, including to Jelenia Góra and Kowary, and less frequent ones to Szklarska Poręba and Jakuszyce. I wouldn't suggest it for anyone with limited mobility, since the driveway up to the building is steep and the upper-floor rooms require negotiating it. Overall rating: 5/5.

The owners are the most charming part of the stay. Marzena and her sister are angels! The location is great, very close to the trails, and everything was clean and tidy. The room had all we needed, including a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and fully equipped kitchenette. We'll definitely be back.
