Willa Architekt

The setting is the standout for me. Willa Architekt sits by the entrance to Karkonosze National Park, with the trail to Śnieżka nearby, and it’s quiet up here, away from the lower part of Karpacz. From the balcony you can see the mountains and forest, and the views are breathtaking. Our room was spacious, clean, warm, and had a private bathroom and refrigerator. There’s also a shared kitchen. The owner looks after guests and keeps a homely atmosphere. Parking on site is behind a gate, and it’s easy to get to Dziki Waterfall. A good choice any time of year if you’re after nature, quiet, and lovely views.

We drove 500 km and had paid a deposit, but the lady didn’t answer the phone until 4 p.m. We had to find somewhere else in a hurry. She was very unpleasant, and we never got our money back. We reported it to the police. We were scammed.

We had a lovely view of Śnieżka from the windows, and the location was convenient, near Wang Church, the National Park entrance, and the bus stop for the city center. The owner was friendly and cheerful, and communicating with him was easy. My one gripe is that the room didn’t have basics like cups. They were downstairs in the kitchen, but it would have been nice to have some in the room.

From the balcony you can see Śnieżka, and at 830 meters above sea level the place looks out over almost everything. In winter the forest setting and the nearby entrance to the Karkonosze National Park trails are a big draw. A 400-meter gentle descent takes you to Wild Waterfall near the Kopa ski lift. We managed it in the snow with a stroller and baby without any trouble. The rooms are spacious and have bathrooms and refrigerators, and the price is reasonable. The shared kitchenette was enough for breakfast and dinner. There’s private parking that gets locked at night, and the owner is very friendly. The whole place feels family-run. Maybe I was especially keen on this location, but for me that alone could earn it seven stars.
