Nothing fancy, but pleasant.

I was happy with the place, and the photos matched what we found. The room had a balcony and internet, and it was warm. Towels were provided, there was parking, and the kitchen was clean and had everything needed for a stay. The owners were very kind.

The quiet neighborhood suited us, with a bus stop nearby and a local shop just a three-minute walk away. The location is a matter of preference, but it worked for us. Guest parking was available, and when there wasn’t room, free street parking was an option. That matters in Karpacz, where highlander Januszes can charge 20 PLN/hour. I’d call to check availability when I come to Karpacz again. The bathroom is old, as the photos show, but it was clean and tidy. What mattered most to us was being able to rest well after time in the mountains: the beds were comfortable, the bedding smelled fresh, and the towels were clean. Internet was the weak point. There were two Wi-Fi networks in the house, but both had a weak signal in our apartment. My GSM network didn’t work indoors, though it worked outside. A phone on another network did better, but still wasn’t perfect.

The garden has a nice shelter, and the location itself is pleasant. The kitchen was decent, though too small for the number of rooms, and there wasn’t much for children to do. Our room was cold, especially the bathroom and kitchen. Extra blankets could make the bed warmer, but they wouldn’t help in the bathroom. Saying that the May long weekend is off-season didn’t convince me. The landlady also seemed unsure about who was doing what and for how long. Nothing came of that, fortunately, but I’d ask for the booking to be confirmed by text or email.
