Hostel Kamienna Centrum

We told them during booking that we'd arrive after midnight, and the registration was confirmed and the money taken. But when we got to the hostel, it was closed and there was no key left for us. Nobody answered the phone, and we didn't get our money back. I had to find another hostel.

The shared bathrooms were fine, and there's free parking in the hostel area. In each bedroom you'll usually find beds, a chair, wardrobe and bedside tables. Some of the beds aren't in great condition, but they're all usable. I'd recommend it if you plan to just sleep at the hostel and spend the rest of your day out.

The beds were seriously the most comfortable I've slept in, and the place was spotless. It's new, the staff are very friendly, and both rooms and common areas have tasteful modern decor. Guests can also use the fitness centre it's part of, including the latest running machines, weights and a functional training gym for boxing. It's right in the city centre, close to the shops, train station and bus station. A great hostel, and my first choice for budget accommodation in Katowice.

The room itself was really great, and the shared bathroom was okay. But you can hear everything happening in the corridor, so it might be tough if noise bothers you.
