Hostel Katowice Centrum

Very clean and right in the centre, with really great service. More than fair for the price. I'd recommend it.

The receptionists were friendly and the service was good. The shared room I booked had 4 beds, and the bedding was clean and tidy. The floor had been mopped, though it could have been cleaner. Since the room faces the street, you can hear traffic at night, but it was fine. Bathrooms were fine too, with hot water available all the time. There's a small kitchen nook with free coffee and tea, plus a little stove for basic cooking. The hostel is centrally located near the bus station. The Wi-Fi was poor, and during the first night I could barely open YouTube. For the price, I'd rate the value 7/10. Recommend it.

The location is extremely good, and the staff are very friendly and ready to help. My concerns are about the facilities. In a room for 6, there were only 2 outlets, and both were already in use, so I couldn't charge my device overnight. There are no bedside lights, just one big, bright white ceiling light, which is really uncomfortable when someone comes into the room at night. I'd come again because the price is very competitive.

At 35 PLN, the price is good, and I’d definitely stay again. The receptionist did a really good job keeping some very strange people in my room under control. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. Beds are very basic, with a thin mattress and a rocky frame, though I slept fine. A few things could still be improved before I’d call it five stars for this kind of accommodation.
