Hostel Klimczoka 6

The street outside looks a little dodgy, though the inside of the building is much better. Rooms were clean, and every door could be locked. They’re set up for two people, with four people sharing a bathroom, which works well for groups travelling together. The building carries sound, though, and noise from other hostel guests kept me from sleeping.

I had a horrible stay. There was dust and bugs in the dirty room, and blood on the bed. The place felt really shady and creepy. You can find somewhere better in the area for the same price, so I’d go elsewhere.

The hostel is easy to reach from the centre, train station, and bus station. It’s a big place with lots of rooms. The large supermarket is about a 20-30 minute walk away, and Poland’s biggest amusement park is a bit farther. The rooms could use repairs. Staff try to keep the place clean, but it doesn’t always work out, so I’m giving it four stars.

It looks nice, but the hospitality and service were bad. The soundproofing was practically nonexistent, and the Wi-Fi only worked well in the middle of the corridor. We arrived late and the older woman at reception seemed distressed because she struggled with English. We were first put on the 1st floor, supposedly in a better room with extra comfort, a TV and towels, but holes in the window made it cold, so we moved to the 2nd floor. That room had no TV or towels. The woman said towels on the 2nd floor were an extra charge, so we couldn’t have them there. I’d skip it.
