Novotel Katowice Centrum Hotel

The bar and restaurant staff stood out most during my nearly 40-day business stay. Paulina and Marta were especially warm, professional, and attentive, and their smiles made me feel welcome each day. The hotel also worked well for a long visit: comfortable rooms, a very good restaurant, a well-equipped but fairly small gym, and a sauna, pool, and jacuzzi to unwind in after work. I honestly enjoyed it more than I expected, and would recommend it for business or leisure.

The breakfast was genuinely good, and that was about the only part of the stay I really liked. We had paid for breakfast on our departure day and asked twice the day before for a breakfast box, but at 5 a.m. we were told there wasn't one for us. We ended up paying €50 for breakfast at the airport. Check-in was another frustration: we were told to return in an hour, then that the room was nearly ready, and waited a total of two hours. The wellness area was okay, though it didn't match the photos. There was only one sun lounger and no plants or music. Usually just one sauna was operating. On our last day the jacuzzi was empty and the pool was colder than on the other days. The pool and sauna opened at 3 p.m., and on weekends ran 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The location was convenient, beside a supermarket and bus stop, though it could be closer to the center. If you have a rental car, look for parking in advance: the hotel charges €20 per 24 hours, and most parking nearby also costs money.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were thoughtful and very kind. Check-in went smoothly too. Their attentive welcome made the stay at Novotel Katowice Centrum a memorable one.

The pool was a treat and worked for guests of every age. My room felt fresh and clean, and there was plenty to choose from at breakfast and dinner. I also liked having fresh-squeezed juice in the morning.
