There are loads of places to eat nearby, including the famous Żurownia just across the street, a rather unusual Provencal restaurant for Poland, coffee shops, pizza places, convenience stores, and a French chain mini-market about 100 metres away. Weekend breakfast options are also available in the district. The apartments are in a historic tenement, as the 1905 in the name suggests. It’s been renovated while keeping some period details, like the old school azulejo-style bathroom tiles and faucet, the facade, and carved glass in the doors. Larger apartments have basic cooking equipment, and toiletries and slippers are provided. The property manager deserves a mention too, always ready to help. The location is close to the lively centre but away from the party noise on streets like Mariacka. My bed was just so-so: the pillows and the length could be a problem for tall people. I’m used to a 200 cm bed at home, and this one was definitely shorter. The rest was fine. Have a look at the pictures for yourselves.

The owner made things easy, replying quickly and taking good care of guests. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with a comfy bed and pleasant decor. It’s also right in central Katowice, close to everything. I was really happy with my stay at Residence 1905 and would gladly recommend it.

The interiors are nicely furnished and comfortable, and everything was very clean. Even the towels and linens smelled freshly washed. It’s a beautiful tenement house, with rooms that have their own bathrooms. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with. The place is on a quiet street in the city centre, near the train station. We’ll come back, and I recommend it 🙂

The owner was so kind, and the apartments were lovely and comfortable. The renovated building looks especially beautiful with its lights on at night. I’d definitely recommend staying here!
