The room was really big and spacious, and the hotel was very clean. The cleaning staff were super nice. There was live music in the lobby in the evenings, with lots of couches and places to lounge. The kids’ room in the basement was great, clean, and fun. My toddlers loved it. The hotel is also really close to the beach. This was the third hotel I’d stayed at in Kolberg, and the worst. The staff, though, were extremely unfriendly. At reception I was ignored, and questions got eye rolls. The website advertised an outdoor playground that wasn’t available. When I asked in German, they acted like I was crazy and said they didn’t have one. I pointed out that it was on their website, but they just talked among themselves in Polish and sent me to another local playground. I was confused, checked the website again, and it was still advertised. When I showed them the pictures later, they again said they didn’t have it. Nobody explained that it was temporarily closed until I went to the office to complain. Why not just tell me that right away? The office offered a 10% discount as an apology, but we couldn’t get it because of how we booked. They then offered some toys for the kids and expected me to pick them up. I couldn’t be bothered. Why couldn’t they send them to the room? The staff seemed unhappy, confused, and poorly trained. I had two lovely massages, but loud pop and R+B music played the whole time. Nobody wants to hear Nelly talking about booties during a massage. The salon didn’t offer water either. The food was really awful. There was tons of quark, cheap meat and cheese platters at breakfast and dinner, no bacon, no fresh fruit apart from apples and garnishes, and no dessert. Dinner had lots of jellied meats, ugh. The website promised a sandwich maker, but there wasn’t one, and claimed there were great choices for kids. My children found almost nothing to eat besides bread and eggs. The pool towel system was awful too. The hours were very limited, so you ended up carrying wet, gooey towels back to the room and couldn’t get a fresh one for swimming after 5pm. The towel attendant was very rude. At 2pm we came for fresh towels, not realizing exchanges were closed then. We unpacked our wet towels, and she could easily have said she couldn’t exchange them just then. Instead she glared at us until all the towels were on the counter, then snapped, “What do you want?” I speak German, and after we explained, she rolled her eyes and condescendingly asked what the sign said, as if we were naughty children. Then she asked, “Can I exchange towels now? No!” Someone needs customer service lessons. The pool changing area was extremely small. Three or four people crowded it, and I can’t imagine how full it gets in summer. The outside door opens straight into the changing area, which was embarrassing. The kids’ pool is 90cm deep, not good for toddlers. We were there in winter, so the outdoor pool was closed. I also didn’t like the hotel layout. I don’t like walking past everyone at the bar and being stared at in my bathrobe on the way to the pool. My mom and one of my toddlers also got really bad diarrhea. We only ate hotel food, so something didn’t sit right. I’d never stay here again.

Right beside the beach, with a very nice location. The pool and sauna are great, and there’s a good choice of wellness services. The food was decent, though there wasn’t much for vegetarians.

The rooms were really clean and dinner was great. The trouble was we couldn’t get a table every day, so we had to wait until other people finished.

A great family retreat, with friendly, helpful staff. The food was okay. If you’re used to organic food, you’ll know theirs is just okay 😉

Lovely hotel and atmosphere. The restaurant and pool area were very nice.
