There was mold on the towel rack, which was unpleasant. I wanted to give five stars, but we came hoping to rest and couldn’t. The pool wasn’t available, and construction work somewhere in the building meant loud drilling every day from 7:30 to 18:00. We weren’t warned about it, or we wouldn’t have booked. The noise went on all week and even woke the kids. We wanted a quiet, peaceful break.

The first package was barely stocked, just a little soap and one roll of toilet paper for five people, which made it feel like the hotel was cutting costs everywhere. Check-in was delayed until 4 pm, while checkout had to be done by 10 am. The elevators were overcrowded, with waits longer than 10 minutes, and the receptionist, Sandra, was unwelcoming. I was very disappointed and definitely wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

The soundproofing was poor. We could hear people talking in the next room, and traffic outside was really loud. Still, the hotel was clean, with large rooms, new furniture, a fine kitchen, a balcony, and a bathroom with a washer-dryer, which helps a lot with the humidity. There’s no air conditioning, but we didn’t need it. The location is great, two minutes from the beach, with a playground right in front, a playroom, gym, indoor pools and one outdoor pool. Shops, restaurants, and a pharmacy are all nearby. Reception staff speak English, but the rest don’t. In Kolobrzeg, almost nobody speaks English, just Polish and German. The city is very geared toward tourists. Bring boots, long sleeves, umbrellas, and raincoats :)

It’s a fancy, very nice apartment, but it was noisy and had no AC. There was no sun screen in the main bedroom. The owner said they’d replace the blinds, but it never happened. It felt like the owner was trying to save money on everything.
