The proprietors’ mother and daughter were brilliant. They spoke English and even turned on the heating when I got cold. The room was clean, big, quiet, and had a wonderful bath. Hot water took three minutes to reach our corner room. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised by a lovely lunch at a very reasonable price. I got a migraine with all the symptoms you can imagine, apart from throwing up, so I was a guest from hell. They had put us in the wrong room, but apologized with a bottle of expensive wine. Breakfast was vast, even though it was just for us. The homemade plum jam seems to have evaporated, but my wife liked it. The cold meats were brilliant, and the eggs were cooked to order. Only slight problem is we have to leave today.

My top place to eat in Kórnik. The interior is incredible, and the prices are fine. The traditional Polish dishes are made really well. Honestly, they should raise their prices.

The staff and atmosphere were delightful, and I had a delicious meal. The chef changed some ingredients so I could have a vegetarian version of something from the meat dish. Afterwards, I realized I might have trouble finding the train station since I don’t know the town and had no internet. The chef went above and beyond and drove me there. Highly recommend it for good food and a welcoming place.

Nestor worked well for our large group, with good access, good food, and friendly staff. Some of us didn’t speak Polish, but the English menus were helpful, and the staff did their best to explain the Polish dishes to those unfamiliar with them. We’ll definitely come back when we visit Kornik.

I came just for dinner to try the famous duck with apple, served with braised red cabbage, and the meal was awesome. The restaurant inside is gorgeous and cozy, built in a 19th century style.
