Apartamenty Snowbird

We were delighted with our few days in the Tatra Mountains. Our apartment was called "Bazylia." The whole property is gated and monitored, with parking outside and in the basement, plus a playground for children. Inside, the apartment was spacious, nicely furnished, tidy, clean and super equipped. It had everything you’d find at home apart from an oven, including a full-size fridge rather than a mini hotel one, a washing machine in the bathroom and a cordless vacuum cleaner. Best of all, there was a large terrace overlooking the entire Tatra Mountains. Even in the rain, you could sit on the swing and enjoy the view. A real gem for anyone who loves the mountains. I highly recommend it.

We chose this apartment for its location, which met our expectations and was our main priority. I’m sad to say this is my first negative review on Google Reviews. After we checked out on Sunday, we realized at home, 600 km from Kościelisko, that we’d left a parcel in the apartment. It contained something very important to us. Karolina confirmed it was there. Since it was our mistake, I offered to pay for a new label and code so she could send it from a parcel locker of her choice. On Wednesday, she asked how long the code would remain valid, saying she was busy and didn’t know when she could drop it off. That seemed understandable, and I asked if she could send it by the end of Thursday. It’s now Sunday, four days later, and I still haven’t heard from her about the parcel or when she might send it. I have no idea when I’ll get its contents back. The lack of communication was very disappointing and, to me, disrespectful treatment of a customer. Basic contact would have been enough. I don’t think I’ll return to a place that treated me this way.

The apartment didn’t look like the photos. Karolina asked when she was leaving, then which apartment we were in because she didn’t know. When we left, she wanted to see what it looked like. The views were great, and it was quite close to the trail.

We were there with friends a few weeks ago. The mountain view is the only reason for the two stars. The apartment looked great in the photos, but it smelled damp and was very cold, and the heater couldn’t warm it up. The people who rented it to us didn’t get in touch for two days and wouldn’t answer the phone. I called because the kettle was broken, the promised hairdryer wasn’t there, and we couldn’t manage to get hot water. The owners didn’t seem to care. A terrible experience.
