There are a few downsides, including no blinds on the windows, and charging a cleaning fee doesn't feel fair. Still, the value for money is okay, so I'd give it a solid 4 stars, objectively speaking.

The mattresses were torn and stained, and sleeping on them was a nightmare. At least the bedding was clean. The kitchen had plenty of equipment, but everything had to be washed before we could use it, since there was dried food on the plates when we arrived. It was supposedly modern, but there was dirt everywhere, cobwebs, and mold in the shower. The hot water was either boiling or ice-cold, with no way to set it properly. The place is filthy and long past its best. We were there in 27°C, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The apartment itself was okay, but the service and lack of preparation dragged down the rating. We weren't given the exact address, and the contract from the safe only had the apartment number. With so many properties around, we couldn't work out where to go and had to call the manager. Getting the keys was a disaster too: we had to drive about 7 km to collect them, and the place was off-road. Before the stay even began, staff called several times about our arrival time and receipts for cleaning and the resort fee because they couldn't confirm whether the transfer had arrived. Once we got to the apartment, there was no water. The manager gave us the maintenance technician's number, and we ended up turning on a tap ourselves in the stairwell. The apartment was cold, and clearly no owner or caretaker had got it ready for our arrival. It would have been clean if not for the big stain on the sofa that we found after unfolding it.

The bedroom door kept falling open and shut, so we had to be careful not to wake the baby. Apart from that, my wife, our little child, and I really enjoyed the stay. It was close to the Koscieliska and Chocholowska valleys, with good access to Giewont, Kasprowy Wierch, and Czerwone Wierchy, while still away from Zakopane's hustle and bustle.
