I'd love to go back there.

The views from both the room and the grounds were genuinely beautiful. The promised look at Giewont was partly blocked by the neighbor's Christmas trees, though ;) The apartment had lots of wardrobes and drawers, and the bathroom was large and warm. Still, the shower was tiny for such a big bathroom and had limescale. The bed was small with a very soft mattress, and the sofa bed was so uncomfortable that even one person couldn't rest properly on it. The kitchenware was sparse for four people: two dessert plates, one small bowl, and six dinner plates. It seemed the dishes hadn't been topped up in a long time. Cleaning also needed attention, from stained tiles behind the stove to marks on the cabinet fronts and inside the bin cupboard. WiFi was available but so weak that videos kept cutting out, so working would have been difficult.

We couldn't reach the apartment in the snow, even with chains. The narrow road hadn't been plowed, and there was half a meter of loose snow at the very end. Before we set off, I called and was told we could drive up the mountain and that winter tires would be enough. They weren't. You'd need a high-clearance car, four-wheel drive, and chains to avoid getting stuck. The owner says the apartment is available, but we had to cancel because no one wanted to trudge through snow with luggage and small children. Parking was inaccessible too, and even a snowplow can't get through. I strongly advise against driving there in winter.

The woman who looks after the apartment was very nice and helpful, and the WiFi worked flawlessly. There was a router on display on our floor, which may explain the strong signal. I could use the upstairs vacuum cleaner without any problem, but there was no mop or cleaning products. Getting there is difficult. With heavy snowfall, you can't leave Krokusowa without putting on tire chains. The windows and floors were dirty, and the sofa in the living room was very uncomfortable. The sofa and bedroom mattress were stained, as was the bedding. There weren't enough dishes or cutlery, and every glass was different. The apartment does have a lovely window view, but there was no owner or anyone responsible for building matters. I'd recommend it mainly to families without small children in winter, since there isn't anywhere to walk without carrying a stroller. We probably won't return. The price doesn't fit the location and cleanliness.
