Gold Rooms

The neighborhood feels partly commercial and a bit run down, and traffic picks up on the street outside from about 530/600 in the morning, then again during evening rush hour. The city center is a 15 minute walk along the footpath, and Mielno, with its restaurants, market stalls, and entertainment, is a 30 minute drive. We had two double rooms on the top floor, reached by a very narrow staircase. Their bathroom with a bath is in the hallway, and the window coverings let in a lot of light, so darker ones would help. We also had a first-floor double room with its own bathroom, which suited us tall people better. All the rooms have fans and small fridges, and the rooms themselves are okay.

We arrived exhausted after driving through the snow, with our two sleepy kids, and they took us in in the middle of the night. Even though we'd woken the owner, we were given somewhere to sleep. The beds were clean, and there were enough towels for a shower the next morning. The bath looked a little worn, but for the price it was okay. Good for a one-night stop to rest.

A nice place to stay, though at that price it would be good if breakfast were included.
