Hotel Gromada Koszalin

Breakfast was the standout for me, with lots of tasty choices prepared really well. My room was spacious and spotless, so it was easy to relax. Hotel Gromada was better than I expected from a 3 star hotel, and I’d happily recommend it.

The room was roomy, and the bathroom was so spacious it almost felt like a separate apartment. The staff were warm and charming. It has the amenities of a 3 star place, with more of a 4 star feel.

The room smelled bad, and the bathtub had no shower curtain. The water was stuck, and I couldn't even turn it on until a maid came after I complained and forced it open. She said they don't provide shower curtains. When I asked to move rooms, I was told they were all occupied. The next day, though, I saw a pile of keys behind the desk, so that felt like a big lie. As a US passport holder, this was the treatment I got. Worst hotel I've stayed at in Poland. A big zero.

I had to leave before breakfast, but they gave me a takeaway bag with juice, water, bread, butter, cold meats, salad, cheese and a hard-boiled egg. The reception staff were pleasant, and the entrance looked nice. My pale-decor room had two single beds, a large desk and bottled water; the bathroom was in good condition. The hotel is near the rail station and restaurants. It wasn't great value for money, and I would've liked coffee-making facilities. There was only a bath with a handheld shower attachment, which I would've preferred as a shower cubicle. The shower gel and shampoo came in small bottles instead of wall dispensers.
