Dwor w Tomaszowicach

The hotel stay was awful, even though Oranzeria itself is a splendid, extraordinary place for a wedding. We were there for a few days after attending a wedding at Dwor w Tomaszowicach, and the hotel felt well below three-star standard. One receptionist seemed annoyed when we interrupted her phone series at the desk, and the general indifference and lack of professionalism carried on throughout our stay. Our room wasn't cared for properly and lacked basic amenities. The towels had holes in them. When we asked for an iron, we got a burnt, ancient one and a shrug, with the answer, “Take it or leave it, that's what's available.” Staff were disinterested and unhelpful, which made the whole place feel careless and low-class. It seems they count on wedding guests choosing the hotel because it's convenient, instead of making an effort with service or hospitality. The venue is magical for a celebration, but if you're attending an event there, I'd strongly recommend staying somewhere else. The hotel simply isn't worth it.

The staff were all lovely and helpful, and the hotel itself is tastefully decorated. We stayed for a weekend in a studio room, which was up to the standard we expected and seemed to have been renovated fairly recently. It's a lovely spot in a green area with great views, close enough to the city centre while still feeling peaceful on the outskirts. It seems like a great fit for weddings and similar events. I'd happily recommend staying for a weekend, or using it for a larger family gathering or business conference.

The event service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We stayed the night after an event on the property. Our room was pretty unimpressive and smelled bad, I think we were in #12, but it was warm and worked for what we needed.
