The rooms have fun themes like “Barbie,” “Afrika,” and “Art neuveau,” and each has a little kitchen with basics such as a fridge, kettle, cutlery, and mugs. Our room also had a huge smart TV and a firm mattress that was great to sleep on. I forgot to take photos when we arrived, and didn’t want to do the room an injustice by snapping them as we left. There’s a lovely shared sitting area and garden, plus plenty of space in the lobby, umbrellas, little chocolate bars, and fresh fruit. They seemed to have thought of everything you might need. Just across the street is a small shop open daily until 11 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on Sundays, with other shops nearby that stay open later. The hostess was very friendly and spoke English really well. The cats are less friendly, though the white one I photographed was nice, and they don’t bother anyone. Don’t try to pet the grey one, she’ll bite.

The owners are so friendly and helpful, and there’s a pretty garden behind the building where you can sit and eat. Rooms are clean, good, and inexpensive. There’s parking, and you can order breakfast too.

The owner Dorota was welcoming and so helpful. She even helped me with an urgent printout before my visa appointment, which I really appreciated. The rooms were clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The kitchen was well equipped and kept in great order, and my room had a kettle and towels. There’s a beautiful garden that the owner looks after herself. Buedronka supermarket is right behind the hostel, with all kinds of food. The tram wasn’t running, but bus 164 can take you to the center. The Wi-Fi was excellent, which I needed for remote work. One of the best places I’ve stayed in Poland.

My flight was delayed by three hours, and although check-in was supposed to end at 11 p.m., they still welcomed me around 3 a.m. That was a big plus. Good value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it.

It’s a quiet, pleasant place with a garden and parking. We liked the staff and the very good Polish breakfasts. It’s a long way from the city center, but close to public transport stops.
