The New Year price was extremely high, and the room was a very poor choice. It was tiny with two single beds squeezed in, leaving hardly any room to move. The power outlet was behind a bed, so we had to shift the beds to plug in a phone charger. The walls were so thin that we could hear the neighbours talking and doing things. The kitchen looked nice, but there was no chair to sit and eat, so it wasn’t much use.

We couldn't check in, and they kept the full payment after the cancellation. The hostel was really unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend it.

The heating seemed fine, though I couldn't find any air conditioning. There’s no breakfast, just a small kitchen guests can use, and no reception, so the self check-in instructions need to be clearer and properly translated into English. Our check-in was not very smooth. The rooms are in a newer apartment building, with nice interior and equipment. It's very close to Krakow Glowny station and a large shopping mall. Be careful to check the address: Amber hostel and Amber hostel Szlak are different places. This is Amber hostel Szlak on the street of the same name.

We booked a room with double beds and ended up in a cramped bunk room with barely enough space for two. It felt suffocating. A disastrous stay.

The apartment has a big kitchen and living room, plus a small bathroom that’s laid out well. The kitchen has a fridge, oven, toaster, coffee and tea maker, and dishes. Our room had a built-in balcony, which got unpleasant in the heat, and there’s no air conditioning. It was noisy, though Wi-Fi and parking were free, with the car park in the underground garage below the building. If anything goes wrong, you can get telephone help right away. Amber Hostel 108 is a nice apartment.
