AMEN Aparthotel Curie 8

We booked a private double room and were told we had to share a room with eight people. The man we encountered was drunk, angry, and aggressive. He accused us of breaking in because we'd left our bags, then pushed past my boyfriend trying to get to me. We felt forced out and had to sleep at the airport. Young women travelling alone, please avoid this place. Getting inside was already a struggle: we spent 40 minutes trying the door and calling and emailing without a reply. Someone leaving happened to let us into the building, where the supposedly 24-hour reception was locked and dark. We left our bags to get food and came back to that confrontation. The building was outdated and unclean, and the only staff member we met was threatening and unprofessional. Do not book here. There are nicer places nearby at good prices. If you do stay, the door code is 3*key symbol*0056, since no one will be there to let you in.

Bed bugs were the big problem. We left and had to pay for another hotel, laundry, and the three nights we didn't spend there because of the infestation. We asked the owner to reimburse all of that, but he initially offered only two nights. When we couldn't agree, he aggressively swore we'd never get a single euro. In the end, we got everything back. That is no way to treat customers. Amen Aparthotels really does make you want to pray. The only pro is that we left.

We stayed for one night, and after getting home we found bed bug bites. The room itself was okay for the price, and I hadn't expected high-end bedding or a fancy bathroom, but this is a serious problem. Hotel staff, please call a disinfection company urgently. Future guests, avoid this place unless you want a nightmare and a lot of expense getting rid of these insects.

My friend was visiting Kraków for the first time for a week, arriving just before Easter 2023. We were unsure what to do when we arrived, and the receptionist literally ran down the street to us, speaking French wonderfully. After that, everything was sorted. The place was very clean, and I liked the location. I've stayed in many Kraków hostels in the old days. If you get this through Edreams at Curie 8, you should be as happy as my friend was. It felt like we got a big upgrade. My friend isn't there now, though, he's asleep on the pull-out sofa in my living room in Kantorowicka.
