I came to town for work and was a bit doubtful at first after reading some earlier reviews. But the apartment I stayed in was perfect: spacious, clean and tidy, with easy access, in a quiet street and a great location. It really surpassed my expectations, and I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Krakow.

My apartment in this building had two bedrooms and a living room, modern furniture, a fully equipped kitchen and all the amenities. It also had a washing machine and cleaning supplies, and there’s an elevator in the building. There is just one air conditioner, in the living room. To enter the main door, use the security code the owner provides. The apartment key is in a small box by the door, with the code for it. There’s no free or private parking. The spaces in front of the building cost 9 zlotys an hour, so from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM that comes to 60 zlotys a day. Parking is free from 8:00 PM to 10:00 AM, according to the meter instructions. I used public transport through the Bolt app, and the fares were very cheap. Nearby there’s an Arabic restaurant, a small Carrefour Express supermarket and several cafes. The apartment is also close to the Vistula River and its promenade, as well as Wawel Royal Castle.

We were shocked to find there was no air conditioning, even though we had reserved an apartment with it. When I contacted them, they said our apartment unfortunately didn’t have AC because the ones with it were full. The photos didn’t match what we found, the flat was narrow, the furniture was poor, and the toilet door wouldn’t close properly. It was extremely hot in summer; opening the windows didn’t help, and my kids were sweating while they slept. I also found a big spider in the bathroom on the first day. The noise made it even harder. The area was very loud at night, sometimes until 4 am, then the shops outside started making noise early in the morning. We couldn’t sleep and spent the whole stay uncomfortable and tense. We looked for hotels from the first night, but it was peak tourist season and they were all booked. We couldn’t leave until we managed to get a hotel for our last night, at least so we could rest. We lost money. The key pickup involved a very complicated password too. I absolutely don’t recommend this place; it’s not worth one star.

Customer service was terrible. They ignored emails and refused phone calls, and wouldn’t refund the reservation despite legal restrictions on travel during the COVID-19 ban. This will need to be dealt with by lawyers. I wouldn’t recommend the property to anyone who wants an easy booking or decent customer service.

The place was cramped and unclean, with a dirty bathroom that smelled awful. The air conditioning was only in one room and wasn’t cold. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it.
