Aparthotel Adler

We really enjoyed our stays, first for about a week and then for one night before our vacation ended. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, and our rooms felt quite spacious compared with other hotels we’d stayed in. There’s a small kitchenette, handy for making coffee or tea in the morning or putting together a light lunch while we explored the area. Parking takes a bit of planning. You can’t park for free near the hotel, and from 10:00 to 20:00 it costs 5 Złoty an hour. There’s a garage nearby where a week costs 250 Złoty. It isn’t cheap, but that seems fair.

The hotel is in a historic part of Krakow, in the area of the former WWII-era Jewish ghetto. These days it’s a district with lots of young people and an arts focus. The rooms are nice and clean, and the beds are good, though not super soft. Breakfast is good, with eggs made to order.

There’s a good variety at breakfast, including meats, cheese, breads, and a fruit bowl that’s always fresh and well stocked. You can also order eggs cooked fresh. Many rooms have a fridge, stove top, and cutlery for making your own food. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, with someone at the desk 24/7. The location is very convenient for seeing the city and going out to eat. After four years of living and traveling in Europe, I can honestly say I’ve never stayed at a nicer hotel. I’m really looking forward to coming back on future visits.

The reception staff were helpful, but I didn’t like the hotel in its current condition. I think it has a lot of potential and needs renovation. The lighting was dim, and the room would be better with one large light in the center. There was no coffee, tea, or sugar in the room. Towels were changed only after three nights, which wasn’t always comfortable, and an extra change costs 10 PZL. That’s just my opinion, so please consider the additional feedback.
