The room was plain but spacious, and the bathroom was roomy too. There’s a refrigerator and kettle. I didn’t like the sliding curtains because they let in a lot of light. The place feels more like an apartment complex than a hotel, and you can check in or out at any time, 24 hours a day. The person at the entrance doesn’t speak English.

The rooms are very large and clean, and the bathroom is nice. Staff were kind, and the hotel is close to the centre of Kraków. There are rental scooters a couple dozen meters away, which makes getting around simple. We paid around 230 zloty (approximately 52 euros) for two people, much less than the other hotels in the area. If I return to Kraków, there’s a good chance I’d stay here again.

The building is beautiful, with an old, welcoming feel, and it’s right in the city centre. The price seemed cheap to me, around 40€ per night for two people. Check-in was very quick, staff were alright, and reception is open 24/7. Our room had two beds that we pushed together. The beds were a little hard but clean, and there were two blankets, which I lay on anyway. They’d left sparkling water, coffee, and sugar, and we appreciated the fridge, private bathroom with shower and WC, and good Wi-Fi. It wasn’t perfectly clean: there was a lot of dust behind the bed and a few dust webs on the ceiling. I would have liked a small broom so I could clean it myself. There was no air conditioning, and the room was over 30°C, so I was sweating all the time. The window faced a courtyard where we heard an engine all day and night. Maybe it helps the hotel with electricity, but it can disturb you at night. The walls are very thin, so you hear everything. I was woken by a crying child during the night, and you probably won’t sleep late in the morning either. There’s a lot of noise and sunlight, and the blackout curtains don’t work very well. Even with those problems, I had a better experience than a bad one.

The Jewish quarter is a great base, with Wawel Castle close by and the market square about a 10-minute walk away. The price was good, the staff were pleasant, and the room was warm and very clean. Simple place, lovely shower.
