Farmona Hotel Business & Spa

The grass cutting started right beside the terrace tables at 9am while I was having breakfast outside. It was so loud that being in the green space the hotel boasts about became impossible, and the other guests looked unhappy too. Breakfast wasn't complimentary, and by the time I went, there weren't even any muffins left. We only stayed one night. The hotel itself was simple and tidy, but I was caught off guard by the 16:00 check-in. We arrived at 15:15 after driving almost 500km and weren't accepted, even though checkout is at 11am. The city centre is reachable by tram, with a stop up to 1km away. I don't know why, but booking.com wouldn't let me write a review.

There was no warning about the saunas being under renovation, and the spa was fully booked, so arranging treatments wasn't possible. The hotel is far from the city centre in an industrial neighborhood, and it offered absolutely no value for money. During my two nights, there was loud wedding music until 3-4 am one night, then noisy guests arrived at 1 am the next. No one gave us advance notice. There was only one bath towel per person, with no face or foot towels. When I asked for a second room card, I was told I might lose it, so each room gets only one. The place was terrible. There are plenty of better, friendlier hotels in Cracow, and there's no reason to waste time here.

The spa treatments were amazing, and the massage girls were lovely and friendly. The hotel also sells its own cosmetics, toiletries, and hair products, which I ordered from their website once I got home. Reception were happy to arrange taxis to different places, including the trip back to the airport, and one day they even gave us a packed lunch for our day trip. It's a beautiful hotel with friendly staff and a lovely continental breakfast. The hot option was nearly always polish, but there were plenty of other things to choose from. We had a very pleasant stay.

We stayed three nights, and there was music every night. The last night was awful, it was so loud that closing the windows made no difference. If the hotel knew there was going to be a big party, why put us in a room by the restaurant? We'd been on the road for 10 hours that day and were exhausted. We're so sad we couldn't sleep all night.
