Green Cat Rooms

There’s a bit of a medieval feel to the place, and I’d recommend it for young people. It’s well maintained, though the kitchen is minimal and could use a few more utensils. It could also be cleaned a little better. One shower doesn’t work properly, and the towels could be larger. Those are small things, though. I recommend staying here.

It’s basically a hostel with no reception and very poor soundproofing. You can end up having to deal with other drunk guests.

For a low-budget stay, this place is a perfect fit. The shared bathrooms can be a little awkward because there’s another door from the balcony into the bathroom, so you have to check whether someone’s there. Otherwise, it was fine. I ate Polish meals at the local “restobar” Meeples, and it left me wanting to come back to this beautiful city.

It’s a cute little hostel hidden at the back of a courtyard behind a gate, just three minutes on foot from Krakow’s city centre. There are plenty of showers and toilets, and the rooms and shared areas have lovely cat decorations and art. The locks and doors could be a headache sometimes; the hostess suggested giving the door a little kick to get it open 🫣. I’d recommend it for a short visit to explore the city.
