The automated message with the gate code arrived after we booked, but that was the last helpful contact we got. The hotel was supposed to offer automated check-in, and we chose to pay on arrival. We arrived in the afternoon and paid, got confirmation, but no room card. We called repeatedly and waited two hours without getting any response. Maybe the check-in kiosk failed, or perhaps they overbooked. If it was overbooking, taking our payment only for us to discover a minute later that we couldn’t access a room is unacceptable. Things can go wrong, but ignoring guests for two hours is terrible service. Visiting my home country and having the worst hotel experience I’ve had, whether travelling privately or for work, was very sad. They shouldn’t be in hospitality. Stay away.
The Old Town is right around the corner, and the place is very tidy. We also liked the self-service system.
Green Krupnicza is conveniently placed about a 10-minute walk from the Market Square. There are two nearby milk bars with affordable meals, along with other places to eat. The property runs fully automatically, and the booking instructions were clear, so check-in and check-out were easy. The room had what we needed, including towels, toiletries, and tea and coffee facilities. A bottle of water was sitting by the door, collecting water from a tube connected to the air conditioner. We accidentally knocked it over on our way back to the room, and the water spilled. The carpet stayed damp for the rest of our stay. It seems like a small thing, but it completely ruined the experience :(
Five minutes from the Market Square, with lots of restaurants nearby, the location was excellent. The apartment was fantastic, very clean and had air conditioning, which was essential in summer. Highly recommended.
