The room was clean and warm at night, and I slept well because the music wasn’t very loud. The location was nice, not far from the bus station, train station or Old Town. It’s great value, and after check-out I could leave my luggage and use the kitchen. Toilets and showers were usually clean, though the toilets sometimes smelled bad. Breakfast and dinner were great, but the first vegan dinner I ordered was vegetarian, which I only realised after the first bite. Nobody apologised. I told reception, and the next evening I got a vegan meal. They also couldn’t tell me which breakfast buffet items were vegan. If you have allergies or similar dietary needs, this isn’t the place for you.

I stayed four nights at Tom and Greg Beer House and met lots of kind, friendly people. The staff were lovely and helpful, the food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner, and everything was clean and well maintained. Dinner had very long queues, there wasn’t enough seating, and the dishwashing line was long too. But at that price, you can’t really expect more. 9.5/10 ⭐️

Aga at reception made a real difference, she was funny, welcoming, and deserves a raise. The free breakfast and dinner were tasty, and the showers and bathrooms were clean. The location is very handy for both the main square downtown and the train station, and the price is hard to beat. My one issue was the beds had no covers between them, so there was no privacy and it could be hard to sleep.

For €16 a night, you get a whole buffet, great food, free breakfast, free dinner, and even free beer. Probably the best value for money in Europe. The hostel itself isn't anything extraordinary and they don't organize activities, but make sure you join the pub crawl.

The staff were kind and polite, and helped me make some wonderful friends. I stayed here on my October trip to Krakow, and the location is about as good as it gets. Breakfast, dinner, and the complimentary items were always fresh, delicious, and prepared with care. The rooms, beds, and showers were spotless. The hot water was hot enough to burn your hand 😂
