Happy Tower Kraków

It was handy being right in town and just around the corner from the train station, especially coming from the airport. The room was okay, though the curtains were broken and hung too high to fix. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was plentiful and adequate to get the day started.

We walked everywhere during the trip, thanks to such a good location. Check-in and check-out were easy. The room did the job, and the bed and bathroom were fine, but it could have been cleaner since some appliances had been missed.

We had a good weekend stay. The room was fine, with a good bed and shower, and breakfast had lots of choice. Reception was friendly and helpful. The Old Town centre is about a 10-minute walk away, and there’s a tram line just in front of the hotel with routes in every direction. Staying here also gets you 10% off drinks and 5% off food at the Poli bar. I’d recommend it for a weekend in Krakow.

The hotel’s one advantage was how close it is to the centre. We spent five nights there, and they changed the towels once and took out the rubbish, but didn’t clean the room at all. The floor was dirty throughout, and the wardrobe was in even worse shape. The fridge didn’t work either. They said the room should be 22 degrees during the day and 20 at night, but it never got above 20 and dropped to 18 overnight. We could have put up with that, except the windows weren’t sealed. A sheet over the gaps didn’t help. The walls seemed thin, too, since we could hear the neighbours talking and couldn’t fall asleep until they went to bed. I wouldn’t stay here again.
