Hotel Floryan Old Town

The Old Town location is really good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a double bed, a single bed, a desk, TV and air conditioning. The bathroom was huge, and everything was clean. I took off a star because the bed wasn’t especially comfortable and there’s no elevator, so getting heavy bags up all those stairs was a struggle.

For the price, it would be hard to find a better location. St Florian's Gate is just steps away, and it’s a 2-3 minute walk to the main square, with lots of places to eat and drink and the beautiful St Mary's Basilica. Staff were friendly and knew the area well, including what to see and do. Our room looked out at the rear of the hotel, so we heard nothing from the street, where bars and nightclubs can stay busy into the early morning. The room was clean and well kept, and the minibar had a good selection at prices much lower than I’d expect from a hotel. We were on the third floor, though, and with no lift the stairs could be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. Breakfast included a good range of breads, decent coffee and some hot food. We found our stay at Hotel Floryan very comfortable, and it’s a great place to begin a visit to Krakow.

The breakfast buffet had a nice range of Polish breads, meats and cakes, and the rooms were fresh and clean. The central location was great, too. Staff were welcoming and always ready to help, whether we needed ideas for places to see, a taxi, or somewhere to leave our bags after arriving early for check-in. I’d definitely recommend it and come back.

We were a young family with two kids, and the spacious rooms had everything we needed. The hotel is in the Old Town, very close to the square, and worked perfectly for us. There’s free parking at another location, and the hotel gave us free rides to and from it.
