Krak Apartments - Kazimierz

The apartment had good equipment, but neither my husband nor I slept because of our back problems. The bed was rock hard and stretched across the width of the room, which made it really difficult to get into. We wouldn’t come back.

Getting the key didn’t work because the box by the door was empty. The place was freshly renovated and close to the center, but it felt a bit cold, and there was no shower gel in the bathroom.

Customer service was nonexistent. They didn’t answer the phone during the night, so we ended up sleeping on the floor. After a very long day, we arrived expecting to rest and found both the bed frame and sofa bed broken. This was the worst place we’ve stayed in Europe so far.

The location was a real plus, about 10 minutes from the main square and a żabka grocery store, and it was one of the cheaper choices. There was a high ceiling, a functional kitchen, nice modern style, good lighting, plenty of leg room, WiFi, and all the basic amenities. There was even one Jesus picture. The problems were hard to miss: dirty walls and floor, and a bathroom that smelled awful unless you ventilated it constantly. There weren’t enough windows or ventilation, and the floor color was a poor choice. Usually there were only one or two outlets per bedroom. There was no A/C, and only two of the three fans worked. The WiFi stopped working on our third night. Construction workers were working right outside the windows, which wasn’t mentioned in the apartment description. We were a bit scared when we first came in, but after a couple of nights it felt adequate for the price. 3/5.
