Novotel Krakow Centrum

The location is perfect, and the value for the quality is hard to beat. I was impressed by the attention to detail, from the welcome gift to the Rituals soap. Breakfast was tasty, generous, and offered plenty of choice. Best hotel in town!

The location is convenient, near restaurants and Krakow castle, and about a 20-minute walk from the old town. The rooms are modern, spacious, and clean. We had a standard connecting room, where the only toiletries were soap and shampoo, and there were just two towels for three people. The pillows were really uncomfortable. Luckily, the neighbors in the connecting room were quiet, like us, so the four nights weren’t too bad. Front desk service was OK. We didn’t get any cleaning during our stay, although the housekeeping team we saw always asked whether we needed anything. The hotel restaurant has a nice selection, but our carbonara arrived very cold, the service was slow and full of mistakes, and the beer servings were short every time. The ibis restaurant is run by Novotel, so the service was the same. It didn’t feel like four-star service. The pool is tiny and overcrowded, so we only tried it once. The hotel was busy during the last week of December. Parking is available on site for a fee. Breakfast wasn’t impressive for the price, and it was always busy, with staff rushing to refill things.

The breakfast was fantastic, with lots of savory and sweet options. I also liked the glass carafes in the room and water refill stations on every floor, instead of plastic bottles. Our room was spacious and clean, and the beds were so comfortable we slept really well. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Free hot tea and coffee by the entrance was a nice touch. The hotel is in a great spot, within walking distance of the Old Town and right across from the Vistula River.

The team were warm and thoughtful throughout my stay at Novotel Krakow Centrum. When some facilities weren’t available, they handled it professionally and quickly arranged a suitable alternative so I could stay comfortable. That kind of proactive service really stood out. The hotel is well placed for exploring the city, and I’d gladly return.
